The availability is usually indicated by codes like "WL" (Waiting List), "RAC" (Reservation Against Cancellation), or a number representing the number of available seats. If your desired train is fully booked, you'll likely be placed on a waiting list (WL). The waiting list number indicates your position in the queue. As passengers cancel their tickets, the waiting list moves up, and you may get a confirmed seat. RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) tickets allow you to board the train, but you'll be sharing a berth with another passenger until a confirmed seat becomes available. The chances of getting a confirmed seat from a waiting list depend on various factors, including the popularity of the train and the cancellation rate.
