नीति आयोग की संरचना इसे एक अनूठा संस्थान बनाती है। इसमें अध्यक्ष (प्रधानमंत्री), उपाध्यक्ष, सीईओ, पूर्णकालिक सदस्य, अंशकालिक सदस्य, और पदेन सदस्य शामिल होते हैं। राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के मुख्यमंत्री और उपराज्यपाल भी गवर्निंग काउंसिल का हिस्सा होते हैं। यह संरचना विभिन्न हितधारकों को एक साथ लाती है और नीति निर्माण में उनकी भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करती है। सीईओ (मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी) आयोग के प्रशासन का प्रमुख होता है और वह प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा नियुक्त किया जाता है।
