arranged marriage आणि प्रेम विवाह... दोन भिन्न मार्ग, एकाच ध्येयाकडे – सुखी वैवाहिक जीवन. अनेकदा 'लग्नानंतर प्रेम होईल का?' हा प्रश्न मनात घर करतो, विशेषतः arranged marriage मध्ये. या प्रश्नाचं उत्तर सोपं नाही, कारण प्रत्येक नात्याची गोष्ट वेगळी असते. पण, काही गोष्टी आहेत ज्यांच्या आधारावर आपण अंदाज लावू शकतो आणि नात्याला फुलवू शकतो.

माझ्या एका मित्राचं arranged marriage झालं. सुरुवातीला दोघांमध्ये फारसं बोलणं नसायचं. पण, हळू हळू त्यांनी एकमेकांच्या आवडीनिवडी जाणून घेतल्या, एकत्र वेळ घालवला आणि एकमेकांना भावनिक आधार दिला. आज ते दोघे खूप आनंदी आहेत. त्यांचं नातं पाहून मला खात्री पटली की लग्नानंतरही प्रेम होऊ शकतं, फक्त त्यासाठी प्रयत्न आणि समजूतदारपणा असावा लागतो.

प्रेम म्हणजे फक्त शारीरिक आकर्षण नाही, तर एकमेकांची काळजी घेणं, एकमेकांना समजून घेणं आणि एकमेकांच्या स्वप्नांना साथ देणं. प्रेम म्हणजे त्याग, समर्पण आणि विश्वास. प्रेम ही एक सुंदर भावना आहे जी नात्याला अधिक मजबूत बनवते.
आजच्या धावपळीच्या जीवनात, नात्यांना वेळ देणं खूप महत्त्वाचं आहे. लग्नानंतर होईलच प्रेम, असा विचार करण्यापेक्षा नात्याला प्रेमळ बनवण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करा. कारण, प्रेम हे प्रयत्नांनी निर्माण होतं, नशिबाने नाही.
आजकाल अनेक तरुण-तरुणी 'लिव्ह-इन रिलेशनशिप' मध्ये राहून एकमेकांना समजून घेण्याचा प्रयत्न करतात. या प्रथेमुळे लग्नानंतर होणाऱ्या अडचणी काही प्रमाणात टाळता येतात, असा त्यांचा विश्वास असतो. पण, भारतीय संस्कृतीत लग्नाला खूप महत्त्व आहे. त्यामुळे 'लिव्ह-इन' पेक्षा arranged marriage मध्ये कुटुंबाचा पाठिंबा मिळवणं अधिक सोयीस्कर ठरतं.
